2024 The Lost Breath

Commissioned for White Night Ballarat, The Lost Breath blended artistry and engineering by transforming my intricate drawings into an immersive, mesmerizing installation of sound, light and kinetic sculpture. Standing at three meters tall, the ancient, living ancestors of the trees we know today appeared to gently breathe in and out, accompanied by a haunting soundscape.

Essential to our survival, the trees have endured for millennia. But now, as our atmosphere becomes heavy, they have begun to struggle to breathe and they need us to nurture them back to health. In doing so, they will guide us on a journey of wonder and self-discovery.
